Geoffrey Mackay is founder and owner of Middle Park Physiotherapy and co-founder of getback. He has over 20 years of experience working with elite athletes and researching and developing the most effective means for addressing low back and neck pain. Geoffrey was awarded the Australian sports medal in 2000 for his services with international sport. His contribution included working with the Australian cricket team, the Australian Institute of Sport, the Australian Olympic team and the Australian Commonwealth Games team. He also served with Australian tennis for 14 years and contributed at a national level across cycling, squash, modern pentathlon and Australian rules football.

Michelle Gray has been a Physiotherapist for nearly 30 years and has vast experience as a clinician and Pilates instructor. Prior to Middle Park Physiotherapy (MPP), Michelle ran a business for over 15 years specialising in the provision of Exercise for Pregnancy and has specialised knowledge in the field of pre and post natal care. She has an energetic and enthusiastic approach to her physiotherapy practise and is a hugely motivating Physiotherapist. Michelle enjoys the welcoming environment and cutting edge facilities that MPP provides. Michelle has spent time working in the UK, Middle East and Europe and brings a wealth of experience to MPP. She believes that physical wellness should be a lifelong pursuit and be sustainable, achievable and hopefully enjoyable. She is a mother of 3 teenagers and loves to talk!

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), Cert IV Allied Health Assistance (Physiotherapy)

Jack completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Monash University (Peninsula). He enjoys working with a range of clients varying from sporting injuries through to people looking to improve pain and function for everyday life.

Jack uses a balance of manual techniques and exercise based treatment to help clients feel better and move better. Jack has also developed an interest working with sporting populations through working as a trainer for the Caulfield Grammarians Football Club.

Outside of the clinic, Jack loves sport and enjoys watching and playing basketball, AFL and keeping fit.

Leesa Mackay graduated from Victoria University in 2002 after fulfilling her passion to become an Osteopath. Over the past 13 years she has applied her massage background with her Osteopathic manual techniques and uses a holistic hands on approach to her treatments. Leesa’s specific aim is to diagnose the cause of pain, and provide relief to the affected area and surrounding structures. Her goal is to ultimately improve the function and strength of the indicated structures which helps restore the mobility and prevent re-occurrence of the injury. Leesa works with a range of conditions including neck ,TMJ, elbow, spinal, pelvic, rib, hip, knee and ankle dysfunctions.

Adam Cabble is an accredited Exercise Physiologist and the Head of Exercise Physiology at Middle Park Physiotherapy. He has 7 years experience working across local gyms, public hospitals and numerous sporting clubs before settling into private practice. Adam was drawn to Exercise Physiology after years of competitive running. Having sustained many injuries, Adam learnt the value of exercise in his personal rehabilitation process and that if prescribed carefully, exercise is medicine. Adam believes in the careful prescription of exercise (strength, mobility, functional) to improve a clients quality of life allowing them to engage in their chosen activities. Adam is proud of the fun team environment and Middle Park Physiotherapy and the commitment of the team to provide clients with evidence based interventions that align with clinical best practice standards.

Dip PE, BSc, Msc, PhD; Emeritus Professor, Victoria University; Institute of Sport, Exercise and Active Living (ISEAL); Former Director, Victoria University Research Center for Exercise Rehabilitation, Sport and Exercise Science

Professor John Carlson has published more over 100 refereed journal papers and book chapters and been awarded in excess of $8.75 million in grant money for research in exercise and sport science and exercise rehabilitation. John has worked with Australian national sporting teams including track cycling, hockey, tennis, badminton, water skiing, modern pentathlon, triathlon and AFL clubs Collingwood, St Kilda, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne storm in the NRP and the Melbourne Tigers plus many others. John has also served for an extended time as an external advisory consultant to the Australian and Victorian Institutes of Sport.
